The Indivisible movement organized thousands of No Kings protests taking place across the nation today. Local Indivisible organizers announced that there were one thousand registrations to attend. From the size of the crowd which had gathered by 10:00 this morning, I'd say that more people turned out than that, despite a forecast of rain. Immigration policy was a prominent theme on placards, but other grievances were expressed too, all decrying a drift toward authoritarianism in our country. Although there were some younger citizens in the crowd, most were middle aged or older, folks who have attended quite a few protests for peace and justice, but none which with hindsight seem so direly important as this one. The Wilmington police were pleasant and professional, helping attenders cross intersections safely. Many passing motorists honked their horns in support.

Thanks for posting these pictures, Tom. Rehoboth had about 1,800 people with signs. Georgetown had about 800. Dover had about 500. The rain did NOT dampen spirits. I haven't seen much press on the Military Parade. The rally in Philly was amazing. I watched a lot of it livestreaming. Great speakers. This is the America I know.
